⚠️ THIS IS A WINDOWS ONLY SOFTWARE ⚠️
⚠️ Installing on Windows (SmartScreen)
Because AIFFix is a free, independently released app, Windows may show a "Windows protected your PC" message the first time you run the installer. This is normal for new indie software — it just means the file is new, not that anything's wrong.
To install:
- Click More info
- Click Run anyway
That's it. AIFFix is open source, runs fully offline, and never uploads your music or any data.
AIFFix
Ever dropped a AIFF-track into Mixed In Key and gotten "No common chunk available"? Or had files that just won't analyze, tag, or import for no obvious reason? AIFFix fixes that, and a few other library headaches, in one small free app.
Find the tracks Mixed In Key can't read, convert to clean formats, and clear the clutter. Free, offline, no setup.
🔎 Inspect - find the files that will break in Mixed In Key

Drag in a track or a whole folder and AIFFix tells you instantly whether Mixed In Key can read it. It reads the file's internal structure and flags the exact problem (a malformed chunk before the audio header) that makes MIK choke. Green = good, red = will fail. No more guessing which files are bad.
🎚️ Convert - re-encode to clean, tag-safe audio

Convert WAV, FLAC, MP3, and more to AIFF, WAV, FLAC, or MP3 320 with one click. AIFF output is written the right way so Mixed In Key reads it every time and your title, artist, BPM, and other tags are preserved. Batch a whole folder, with a 24‑bit → 16‑bit option and smart handling of files that already exist.
🧹 Cleanup - clear out the junk

After ripping and converting, libraries fill up with leftover .log, .cue, .m3u, cover images, and stray archives. AIFFix scans your folders, groups the clutter by type, and lets you send it to the Recycle Bin in a couple of clicks, with one‑click Undo if you change your mind.
Why it matters
Mixed In Key's analyzer doesn't follow the AIFF spec perfectly: if a file has an odd‑length data chunk before its audio header, MIK loses its place and never finds the audio so the track silently fails to analyze. The file isn't actually broken; most players play it fine. That's why it's so frustrating to diagnose.
AIFFix exists to make that whole class of problems visible and fixable in seconds, instead of an afternoon of trial and error and to bundle the everyday "get my library clean" chores (convert + tidy up) into the same simple tool.
Who it's for
DJs and music librarians using Mixed In Key, rekordbox, Serato, Traktor, or Engine DJ who want their tracks to analyze, tag, and import without fuss.
